OPUS No 3 – Morning Fishing
This is an evocative Tone Poem based around the pastime of fishing.
It is dedicated to the son of The Time-Lord.
You can imagine the early spring morning, when there has been a light rainfall during the night.
Raindrops fall off leaves into the lake as it comes to life.
A bite alarm screams and a carp is on.
The left hand is the winding of the reel; the right hand is the carp, fighting to evade capture.
Will the monster be landed?
This piece was also recorded by the concert pianist from Israel, Nadia Weintraub.
